ME & ELEPHANTS

For all who wondered, what we as Environmental Science students do in our courses?

As some of you know, I worked for National Elephant Conservation Centre, under PERHILITAN for my internship from May to July 2010. This is the picture taken when I went to Santuari Gajah Sungai Ketiar, Terengganu. It is located 30 km from Kuala Berang.

I was embracing Suria, a 10 year old female Asian elephant from Johor. She was very nice, and we spent a jolly good time together! Suria loves to eat fruits and sweet potato.

When the picture was taken, she weighed 1.87 tons  and she was doing great there. I really missed her and her other friends; Seri and Talong. Hope they’re doing fine!

Well, hope this picture would give you some glimpse of what we currently are doing for our environment.
